Additional information
The following information is for everyone who uses bio emistic and needs a digital accessibility declaration for legal reasons.
- Anyone who needs the Emistic bio accessibility declaration can use it by providing a link to it in their bio. For the declaration to work (bio to be compliant with accessibility requirements), you must follow the following suggestions:
- the owner of the bio must provide contact details in his bio
- It's best to place this next to the accessibility declaration link
- The purpose of the contact is to enable the recipient to send a message in case of difficulties in accessing the content, such as incomprehensible sentence structure or incorrect page colors
- Bio content should be written in simple language, understandable to everyone
- Appropriate color contrast should be used (this applies to the background and text)
- The point is to ensure that the text on the website is legible (error example: gray inscription on a black background, which means that no one can read the inscription)
- You can use the prepared appearance templates
- You can also create your own look by following a simple tip: dark background = light character color
- Additionally, you can use free websites where you can check whether the color set (background, character color) meets WCAG requirements. All you need to do is provide the names of the colors you selected in your bio.
- When adding an item with a photo, fill in the optional field that is used to explain to visually impaired people what is in the photo
- Note: This requirement does not apply to a photo added as a logo or background
- Note: You don't need to add the text that will appear below the photo. All you need to do is add a description for blind and visually impaired people (this text will not be visible in the bio, but it will be read to them on devices for blind people)
- Example text that could describe the image for the blind located in the upper right corner of this page: Emistic Logo
This declaration does not apply if the bio owner does not follow these suggestions.
- Emistic is responsible for the technical aspects of bio. If errors occur, the Emistic team will take the necessary steps to correct them. Emistic will also monitor bio on an ongoing basis, introducing possible improvements to improve the quality of access for users.
- The owner of the bio is responsible for the content of the bio. This applies to the content and colors of the bio (color contrast).
Emistic informs that with the change of WCAG standards, bio elements will be adapted to the latest version. Thanks to this, users will gain easier access to bio, and people requiring an accessibility declaration will be sure that changes resulting from the new regulations will not involve additional costs to improve the quality of the website.
