What is the Privacy Policy and what does it cover?

Effective date: August 30, 2024

Use of Emistic constitutes acceptance of the Privacy Policy. If the Privacy Policy changes, the Effective Date will change. If this happens, we will notify you. Before you decide to continue using Emistic, you will have the opportunity to review the revised Terms.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, store and transfer information.

What types of information we collect:

The types of information we collect and process about you depend on how you use our Products. For example, we collect different data for people who create a bio and different data for people who add their domain to the list of safe Emistic websites.

What happens if you do not consent to the collection of certain information?

Some information is necessary for our Products to work (e.g. creating bio). Other information is optional, but its absence may affect the quality of your use of our products.

What happens when the information we collect does not identify individuals?

In some cases, information is de-identified, aggregated or anonymized in a way that does not identify individuals before it is made available to us.

Example: determining the language preferences of an unregistered user is fully anonymous (we do not have personal data about you), and in the case of registration, your preferred language is used to provide website services (e.g. when sending you an email).

How do we use your data?

We use them to personalize your use of our services.

To use less information associated with individual users, in some cases we pseudonymize the data or combine it or anonymize it so that it no longer identifies you, which increases your security. We use such information in the same way as the information described herein.

We communicate with you using the information we receive from you, e.g. contact details entered in your profile.

How do we share your data?

Who can view public content? When content is public, anyone can see it. They may also appear in Internet search results, and Internet users may share links to your public content.

How do we share information with third parties?

We do not sell your data to anyone. Emistic has other ways of maintaining it (e.g. subscriptions).

However, in some cases we need to share information (e.g. your email) with an email provider (e.g. Outlook) so that they can automatically send you an email from us.

What are our legal bases for processing your information and what are your rights?

In accordance with applicable data protection regulations, you must have a specific legal basis for data processing. When we talk about “processing personal data”, we mean the ways in which we collect, use and share your data described in other sections of this Policy.

How long do we store your data?

We keep information for as long as we need it to provide our Products, comply with legal obligations, or protect our interests or the interests of others. The decision on how long we need information depends on the individual case.

E.g. If a domain is added to the safe list of Emistic websites, the information that a specific owner's website belonged to the list in a given period will not be deleted until Emistic exists. This serves to confirm the credibility and continuity of the Emistic safe list of sites.

How we transfer information: Do we transfer information to other countries?

Due to the fact that the website is available on the Internet, we also have to transmit information around the world (e.g. information publicly contained in the bio can be read in different parts of the world, so it must be sent there in order to be read). In such situations, we comply with international regulations to keep your information safe and secure this data accordingly.
